A Deep Investigation of Two Poorly Studied Open Clusters Haffner 22 and Melotte 71 in the Gaia era

This paper presents a deep investigation of two open clusters, Haffner 22 and Melotte 71, using astrometric photometric data from Gaia EDR3. We identified 382 597 most probable cluster members with membership probability higher than 50 percent. Mean proper motion in RA DEC are estimated as -1.63 2.889 respectively for -2.398 4.210 71. A comparison observed CMDs theoretical isochrones leads to an age 2.25 1.27 Gyr these clusters. The distances 2.88 2.28 kpc based on parallax comparable the values derived by isochrone fitting method. Five four blue straggler stars 71 respectively. Based relative number high velocity (binary) single stars, we inferred binary fractions both found content is larger core region. Mass function slope good agreement Salpeter's value while it flat 22. Evidence existence mass segregation effect Using Galactic potential models, orbits derived, indicating that clusters follow circular path around center, evolving slowly.
